In a record time of 15 days, V3A delivered 2 Field Hospitals to combat COVID-19 in Rio de Janeiro.
At the most critical moment of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, with sectors of the service industry frozen and the healthcare system on the verge of collapse, we moved quickly to face the crisis. Alongside Rede D'Or and a group of companies such as Vale, Sulamérica, Bradesco Seguros, Lojas Americanas, among others, V3A used its expertise in building large events and was the first Brazilian Live Marketing agency responsible for building field hospitals. A total of 400 beds were delivered across the two hospitals, comprising 150 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 250 inpatient beds, dedicated to serving patients through the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). A very important reinforcement, was when 98% of the city's ICU beds for Covid-19 treatment were occupied. The initiative made a difference in the lives of dozens of patients. Both the construction of the Lagoa-Barra Hospital and the Leblon Hospital meet SUS requirements and Rede D’Or quality standards. V3A set up a technical group with architects, engineers, and infectious disease doctors, among other professionals. In total, more than 200 agency professionals and employees were involved in the construction, with around 60 tons of material mobilized that occupied approximately 8 thousand m², in the Rio de Janeiro City Hall area. The project generated approximately 400 direct and indirect jobs.
